RESIDENTIAL PORTFOLIO
PROJECT
MOUNTAIN SHADOWS
This custom home is nestled at the base of Camelback Mountain, along the golf course behind Mountain Shadows Resort in Paradise Valley, Arizona. We designed this home from the ground-up, from all hard surfaces to interior furnishings and styling. We blended the wife's love for mid-century modern design and the husband's love for classic design with clean lines and natural textures. The soft desert tones are amplified throughout this home and bring a comfort that is unmatched.
PROJECT
VIEWS FOR DAYS
The moment we stepped foot on this property, we knew this was going to be special. The views just captivate the entire home. Our goal was to create a family-friendly mid-century modern inspired desert oasis for our clients. We focused on incorporating natural materials and plants to bring the outdoors in. Although the architecture is very contemporary, the furnishings and styling give it a livable, cozy feel.
PROJECT
HAVER HOME PROJECT
Ralph Haver was a famous Phoenix architect from about 1945-1980. We were lucky enough to revive one of his masterpieces. We found inspiration in the original architectural intention. From the mountain views, to the high ceilings to the natural light, we couldn't wait to get our hands on this project. We made some impactful changes with simple updates to some hard surfaces, lighting and furnishings.
PROJECT
HYGGE HOME PROJECT
Designing for this client was a dream as they truly became like family by the end of the project. We made some drastic floor plan changes in this home. We moved practically every plumbing fixture, light fixture, appliance location you can imagine. We even relocated the laundry room to the master suite and enclosed a courtyard. We created a Scandinavian-inspired dream interior for our clients and we're so proud of the end result.

WHAT LOLA LIKES
We were hired to update this classic, ranch style mid-century modern home built in 1969. It had undergone previous remodels and additions, but the remodels were now dated and didn’t fit the original architectural intention of the home. Our goal for the project was to bring a new, modern design that focused on simplicity and functionality, that would bring the home back to its original intention.
PROJECT
SCULPTURAL DESERT
When trying to name this project, the word “sculptural” kept coming to mind because so many of the design elements were soft and curvy, yet brutalist and geometric. Complimented by neutral, warm desert textures - we fittingly chose the name Sculptural Desert Project. The feature that really draws you in is the plaster wall in the dining room. This was the second version we drew up for this wall, as our client really pushed our creativity.

SCANDI SANCTUARY
We filled this residential design with so many surprises - specifically with wall treatments and texture. This home already had great bones but it was a blank canvas that needed some personality and color. We focused on the colors of the Arizona desert - terracotta and lavenders and unique textures with plaster, wood, boucle, rattan and steel.
PROJECT

NATURAL STONE PROJECT
These clients had this home on the market ready to sell, until they found our team who could really make it their own. This 5300sf home was full of potential, but that potential was hidden by travertine, heavy Cantera stone accents, gaudy light fixtures and outdated cabinetry and tile. We brought this home to life by keeping the stone accents and bringing in new modern materials.

CRAFTSMAN GOES MOD
We were tasked to transform a nursery, playroom and master bedroom. Our clients came to us wanting something unique and elevated. The architecture of their home is an Arcadia craftsman style, but they wanted to go much more bold, simplistic, modern and soothing.
PROJECT
DESERT PALETTE
Our client loved bright colors and especially blue, so we gave this space a whole new spirit. I was inspired by the pastel colors of Artist's Palette in Death Valley National Park. which drove the color scheme throughout this entire home. Take a peak at this full design and don't forget to look at the 'before' photos because it's sure to shock you!
PROJECT
TONE AND TEXTURE
This home was designed with tons of rich and warm, dark desert tones, which creates a dramatic aesthetic in every room. The front living room features a floor to ceiling fireplace finished with a plaster technique and taupe-colored marble. The kitchen is bright and inviting. An asymmetrical entertaining island sits in the middle with a terrazzo-patterned quartz countertop with a waterfall edge.
PROJECT
PACKS A PUNCH
From the white oak engineered hardwood floors, custom cabinetry and interior doors, the matte black knurled cabinet hardware and plumbing fixtures, to the custom lighting fixtures and integrated LEDs - the details of this home are iconic. The quality and usage of materials gives a calming feeling that exudes luxury.
PROJECT
ART DECO
The name Art Deco Project is truly fitting because the building was built in 1928 and restored in 1992. The building gave us so much inspiration for the design of this project with its exposed beams, French windows and Juliette balconies, light filled open living spaces with banks of windows and city views creating an unparalleled urban living environment.
PROJECT
SIMPLY NORDIC
This project was all about maximizing the spatial plan and finishes. We chose to keep the design very simple, yet impactful. We reinvented their outdated kitchen and eat-in nook, creating a space that feels functional and calming. We started by demoing the wall that was enclosing the kitchen and reconfiguring the doorways into the garage and laundry room to make the kitchen larger.
PROJECT
WHY WORRY
Our biggest goal with this design build project was improving functionality. Prior to the renovation, half of the space in the kitchen was not being utilized. One of the details that drove the design was the window locations - we worked with the existing windows and created an asymmetrical design with the upper cabinets and the floating shelves that created balance.
PROJECT
COLORFUL SCANDI
Designing this home for this fun family of four was an incredible experience! Their Scandinavian style spoke to us and their love for color pushed us out of our comfort zone. From the classic Eames bubble lamp in the dining room, to the graphic wallpaper in their daughter's room, mustard king bed, and modern gallery wall in the formal living room, this design does not disappoint.
PROJECT
FLOWER STREET
This home was a labor of love. We teamed up with an investor, Bryan O'Conor of Arcadia Fortress, to transform this home in Arcadia. This home was torn down to the concrete slab and a new home, along with a master suite addition, was built. What stands out in this home are the high ceilings, natural light, spacious split floor plan, and the choice of finishes.
PROJECT
VINTAGE DESERT
This project was a perfect mix of two of our favorite things - vintage pieces and a desert influence. We were tasked to transform our client’s guest bedroom, office, entry and bar in her quirky, Frank Lloyd Wright inspired home. We were instantly drawn to this home with the existing flooring combination of real copper pennies, amber-stained polished concrete and character-filled hardwood. Our goal was to marry the modern architecture with vintage textures.
PROJECT
INDUSTRIAL MODERN
Our clients came to us with an outdated kitchen that had a ton of wasted space. We were able to double the size of their kitchen by bringing a previous addition up to code and allowing it to be real added square footage to their home. Their love of blue inspired us in this color palette but we kept it light and airy with the countertop stone that runs up the wall as a backsplash and into a shelf.
PROJECT
SCANDINAVIAN MODERN DESERT
This is a special project because it also happens to be Kaitlyn's home - the owner + principal designer of Iconic Design+Build. If this style resonates with you, then we are an aesthetic match, as this is our signature style. Scandinavian design is a design movement characterized by simplicity, minimalism and functionality.
PROJECT
PROJECT
MID-CENTURY
MODERN CONDO
We were instantly drawn to the architecture of this building, an iconic mid-century modern condominium with exposed block, floor to ceiling windows and bright green front doors. A few of the standout design elements here are the terrazzo floors, sculptural wall of tile in the kitchen and the creative use of space in the bathroom.
PROJECT
PROJECT
TIMELESS TERRAZZO
We've worked with this client in phases for several years and we're so excited every time they come back for more! One major element to this home design that is repeated through several spaces is terrazzo. We've used the terrazzo in different applications to bring this "builder-grade" home a new life and a custom feel.

PROJECT
CURVY HOME //
ECLECTIC DESERT
This may have been one of the most unique projects we’ve ever worked on. We were matched with a client who loves the desert just as much as we do. We were also incredibly inspired by the curvy architecture of this home that is carved into the side of a mountain. It had stunning bones with a great room that felt like a gallery, but it felt very dark and heavy.
PROJECT
ORGANIC DESERT
We couldn't have been more excited when a repeat client of ours came to us letting us know they had found their forever home. The home's contemporary and industrial architecture gave us an amazing blank canvas. Our client's love a relaxed vibe - they're avid travelers and yogis. We went with an organic desert style, incorporating Scandinavian lines and minimalist design details.
PROJECT
MINIMAL SCANDINAVIAN
We teamed up with an investor to design a one-of-a-kind property. We created a very clear vision for this home: Scandinavian minimalism. Our intention for this home was to incorporate as many natural materials that we could. We started by selecting polished concrete floors throughout the entire home.
PROJECT
ARCADIA RETREAT
We teamed up with a landscape architect to design an incredible outdoor space for a growing family. They had recently purchased the home and there was nothing but grass in the backyard. The design incorporated a pool with a spa, pergola, outdoor fireplace and kitchen, outdoor shower and covered patio.
PROJECT
PROJECT
TEXTURAL BOHEMIAN
When tasked with designing this guest house from the ground-up, we were ready for the challenge. Our clients wanted something practical, unique, modern and earthy. We started by selecting a variety of textures in the finishes to bring the warmth - walnut, concrete, terrazzo and brass were layered throughout.
PROJECT
THE MODERN MINIMALIST
The transformation of this home is sure to blow your mind. We chose a light and airy color palette, with Scandinavian lines. We kept this home simple to allow the mountain views to stand out in each space. This was our client's very first home and we were honored that they approached us to give this home a new life.
PROJECT
MID-CENTURY MODERN
When we began this project, this true mid-century modern home was ready to be revived. The home was built in 1959 and lost its character after various remodels over the years. Our clients came to us trusting that, with our help, they could fall in love with their home again. This design is full of clean lines, yet remains playful and organic.
PROJECT
DYNAMIC DESERT BLEND
For this master bathroom remodel, we were tasked to blend in some of the existing finishes of the home to make it modern and desert-inspired. We found this one-of-a-kind marble mosaic that would blend all of the warmer tones with the cooler tones and provide a focal point to the space.
BOLD + CONTEMPORARY
With three kids under the age of six, this family was ready to leave their traditional Tuscan-style home and build a new, contemporary oasis. Iconic Design + Build was brought into the project before the owners broke ground on the home. We specced all of the finishes, fixtures, furniture, accent walls and decor for this 4350sf home. The key to the aesthetic was combining bold + contemporary details, yet keeping the overall design practical and durable.
PROJECT
SCANDINAVIAN
PLAYROOM
A local realtor approached Iconic Design + Build wanting to make her home more family-friendly. She hired our team to design a craft room, playroom, and an updated kitchen. When you walk into the home, the kids' spaces are the first rooms you see, so the client wanted the spaces to be functional yet visually appealing. With this goal in mind, we selected durable materials, storage solutions and soft colors.
