In order to interpret your design objectives and create a space that aligns with your needs, we have developed a 6-phase interior design process.* Each phase is collaborative and helps to achieve the ultimate goal of providing you with a beautiful and functional space. Below is what you can expect when partnering with Iconic Design + Build.

Our tailored, short questionnaire allows Iconic Design + Build to learn about YOU. We want to understand your lifestyle, preferences and how you want to use your new space. This phase sets us up for success!
02. ON BOARD + DISCOVERY
We will schedule an on-site consultation to discuss the specifics of your project. During this time we will review your questionnaire, photograph your space, take initial measurements and discuss your budget and timeline. The initial consultation is typically 1-3 hours depending on the scope of your project. Iconic Design + Build charges a fee of $250 for the initial consultation.
After the consultation, we will develop a Design Proposal (within 5 business days) which includes an estimate of our fees for design creation. This will be e-mailed to you from our design management system, Ivy. Once approved, we will send you the Design Agreement which will outline our services, fee structure and terms and conditions.
03. DESIGN CREATION + PRESENTATION
This is when the fun begins! Iconic Design + Build will create mood boards, floor plans, 2D elevations and 3D renderings (if necessary) to create the perfect design(s) for you. Remember, design does not happen overnight - it takes time to do research, gather samples, coordinate with vendors and collaborate with trades - so please be patient with us during this phase. We promise it is worth it!
Once complete, we will schedule a meeting to share our ideas. Here we will discuss color palettes, products (think everything from furniture, lighting, fixtures, flooring, wall coverings, window treatments, cabinetry and countertops), review drawings/renderings, budget and timeline. This process is meant to be extremely collaborative and we expect there to be design revisions - will work closely with you to ensure that you are happy with the final product.
Iconic Design + Build will coordinate with trades and vendors to ensure your project goes according to plan. We monitor the critical path to success by scheduling on-site visits and status meetings. We will work with you to determine the best time and way to access your home. Communication and collaboration is the key to success and our priority is to make sure that our design is delivered to you as promised.
05. SOURCING FURNITURE + DECOR
Once construction is underway, Iconic Design + Build will develop Room Boards which will allow you to view each item in your space. Depending on the size and scope of your project, Room Boards can include furniture, fixtures, hardware, art, and rugs. All Room Boards can be viewed online through Ivy. With the touch of a button you can ask questions and approve products.
Upon approval, we will place orders on your behalf. Note that Iconic Design + Build is the retailer and we will be in contact with the vendors to track and inspect items as they arrive. Once all materials have been ordered, we will determine an approximate install day.
Finally, the big day is here and you get to see our design come to life! We will arrive on-site to manage the entire process from start to finish, including overseeing installers, placing furniture, and styling. There may be many people in your home, working simultaneously with the same goal of making your design dreams come to life. Therefore, it is best if you are out of the house and return for the final reveal. We love seeing your reaction to the final design. Once you arrive back at the house, we will do a final walk-through with you to ensure everything is complete and surpasses your expectations!
