GLOBAL MODERN DESERT
When our New York clients came to Arizona to find a second home, they stumbled upon this North Scottsdale property with great bones and mountain views. They came to town for only five days to close on the home, find an interior designer and start renovations. It's a good thing they found us because we were able to meet their tight timeline and get a sense of their vision. They then went back to New York and didn't return until the reveal, three months later. The renovation consisted of a new fireplace surround, custom built-in to display antiques, new paint throughout, upgraded light fixtures, accent walls and a new double door entry to their office. We brought the desert inside with the material selections as well as furniture and decor.
This client also happened to be an Egyptologist, so we incorporated their personal antiques, artwork and decor within each space. We designed several custom live-edge pieces including the floating console at the entry, the 50" x 50" coffee table in the living room, end tables in several rooms and the murphy bed in the guest bedroom. The Pierre Frey wall covering at the entry sets the tone for the home and caused our client's jaws to drop as soon as they walked in. Not only did we renovate and furnish this home and casita, but we also unpacked all of their personal belongings behind cabinet doors, closets, etc. to ease the transition for them.
