CLASSIC MEETS INDUSTRIAL

These first-time homeowners wanted a light and bright space that was great for entertaining. By knocking down the wall, we created an island, which immediately transformed the space. The biggest challenge was incorporating the new design with the existing flooring. We had to remove and re-install floor planks to accommodate for the electrical needed in the new island. To contrast the darker floors, we designed all white cabinets with a soft grey island. For the countertops, we installed a veined quartz with a 2" edge to give the kitchen an elevated feel. We wrapped the island in cabinet paneling to give a clean and finished look. To break up the cabinetry, we designed floating concrete shelving adjacent to the refrigerator. The herringbone backsplash, matte black hardware and saddle leather stools give the kitchen a classic meets industrial vibe.
